obsessive? maybe...

So many of you know that I have been sick, on house arrest basically with a teenager disease. Yep you guessed right, Mono. I am not the type to stay home willingly... ALL of the time! Well with many thoughts running through my mind all day I have vowed to resolve some issues with my scrapbooks. I am notorious for leaving pages "un-done" or without journaling... I will just come back to it. Famous last words right?! I went through all of my books (there are about 25) and filled in where needed, got the picture from someone, made filler pages, etc. I went a HUGE step further. What do you do in case of a major disaster? Leave your books behind? I think NOT. As manly and strong as my husband may be, he cannot carry all of the books in one swoop. Nor will he justify my hard work as much as I do in case of an emergency. SO... yes I went over the edge. I took a picture of each scrapbook page. I organized it from start to finish of the album and named it accordingly. What if there is a computer disaster?! I uploaded the pictures of each of my books to Costco, for safe keeping. Let's not stop there, Costco could have problems too. I am also going to burn them to cd's and place in our (cross your fingers) a fire/waterproof safe. Now this is preserving your memories. Is this obsessive or just a good idea?

Also, I am often asked for examples/help and I start off by saying, there was this one layout...now all I have to do is share via email or Costco! Now, I am just doing a good deed for a friend in need. This is also a great way to "share" with family/friends that do not live near and want to see your great scrapbook accomplishments, oh I mean your family pictures!! :) -pm

They better let you out of the house soon, there's no telling what else you may do before house arrest is over. LOL!
